Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father taught in the school system and her mother was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick started dancing and singing in her early years and often performed plays with puppets for children in her area. McCormick won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was approached by Pat Domigan, a talent agent of the Jack Wormser Agency. He asked her if she wanted to join the business of show production. McCormick was chosen to play in her debut major performance in 1964 on a tv commercial for Mattels most recent doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year she starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial before being cast in The Wind It Up And It's Breaks in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won an audition in 1969 from over 1,200 youngsters to be the youngest of three twin daughters in The Brady Bunch TV show The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed with Robert Reed. The show ran for five years. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick told of how in the 5th season of the TV show, she nearly lost her the love of her life to her brother Barry Williams. The actress was sixteen years older and the actor aged 19 at the at the time. The timing would not have had worked out for us, she informed me.
